New Hall NPCs
Here are some suggestions for new Guild Hall NPCs that may add some entertainment to the game and hopefully a new way for guild members to interact with one another.
The Guild Chef
Cost 50k
Adds a chef to the hall who can prepare foods for your guild. Prices from this vendor would be consistant with that of other food crafters and merchants in the game.
Usage:
A player may "teach" the chef a recipe by donating 5 of a specific food item to them. After the NPC has "learned" the recipe, he can craft that item using the standard materials or price in gold depending on the item. For example, the chef is given 5 Drake kabobs, He now knows how to make them. Now his list of items Displays "Drake Kabob" and requires 1 Chunk of Drake flesh to make. Likewise, after being given 5 Red Bean Cakes, they will be displayed in his list of available wares and can be purchased for the 200g (or whatever the merchant price is already).
The Collector
Cost: 100k*
The collector does just what it sounds like, he collects a variety of things.
Usage: The collector requires 3-5 random collector items and rewards the player who turns them in with a small prize, 1k, a random gold item, a lockpick etc. Once redeemed, the item he is collecting randomly changes, Forcing guilds to cooperate and plan to obtain items from across all campaigns, similar to the "Celestial Feast" quests during the New Year event.
Example: The collector asks for 5 Azure Remains. The first guild member to redeem all 5 collects the prize. The collector now wants 3 Golem Runestones.
This could open the door for guild events like scavenger hunts where a team races to collect all the items. It would be a nice supplemental source of income for casual farmers, but as the items change, grinding one area as many of the more serious farmers do would only give them the necessary items for a very limited time.
The Jester
Cost 100k
The jester plays simple games to entertain.
Usage: He has 3 functions.
• The herald. similar to the one in GWEN, announcing someone's arrival in the hall. However instead of simply commenting on their title, he may make a joke or smart-assed remark using the player name. All jokes would be appropriate for all ages, and the comments would appear overhead rather in chat with a delay between them to avoid annoying NPC spam.
• Rock Paper Scissor Opponent. he plays Rock Paper scissors, triggered by a player using the emote in his presence. Four consecutive wins awards 1 Gamer point, and one for each win thereafter. A loss resets the counter. Possible daily cap on points earned this way to prevent botting.
• Mime. You play the mime game with him, trying to match his emotes, similar to the mime in Nightfall. No rewards for this, it's just a distraction.
As a jester is a very animated character, I would expect a lot of idle emoting or random NPC discussion.
Consumables*
Cost 100k
Offers GWEN consumables, including Perfect Salvage kits, Essence of clarity, Star of transferrance, Armor of salvation, Grail of might, and Resurrection scrolls.
Usage:
The player using the npc MUST have met the title requirement for the respective item they wish to have crafted, as well as all needed materials. This is just a convenient way to buy a consumable item without having to travel a specific town to get them.
Master of ceremonies*
Cost 100k
Informs players in chat (one time only) of an upcoming event, Such as winter's day, the New Year festival, St. Patrick's Day drops etc. Helpful for those with autologin who may miss those notes. He also redeems holiday collectibles for their respective prizes. For instance, He will take Lunar tokens all year for the typical rewards, even after the festival has ended. I know people have been going crazy for these collectors to remain longer, but they can not in town as they are built-in with the rest of the event. This would answer those pleas with an alternative way to redeem these items afterward.

I like your idea for the collector. The chef... perhaps. I guess that's if you really, REALLY don't want to leave your guild hall. the jester could be entertaining, but I think the novelty would wear off pretty quickly. Of course, I guess the hall is like a castle, so it DOES need a jester.... hmm..

A no from me for the chef, as food has never been a part of GW (such as being used for healing).
However, /signed for the other two NPCs.

I think the Jester could be fun, being announced into the Guild Hall could make some laughs. The Chef could be useful for races and stuff you might have in your hall (sugar rush mebe?).

Could use jester for a type of simon says (Mad King Says) type of guild tournament. Not sure if I would do it, but I am sure there is someone out there who would love to do it.

/signed for all. I'd love to see these added. (Although I think the collector should cost more to obtain.)
I'd also like to see a consumables NPC added to the guild halls. The consumables guy offers to craft all consumables offered in GW:EN at the same price. Characters must still have obtained sufficient rank in the appropiate title track to have a consumable crafted. This NPC is merely a convenience, not a way to bypass the title requirements.

/signed for all, except maybe the Jester giving gamer points - people will just make afk farmbots.
Hall NPCs shouldn't be able to give something that you can't get somewhere else in the game; Gamer points are not available year-round.

I love the collector idea, nice little motivation to hang onto collectibles - and make some nice money on the side! The jester idea is kinda funny.
Not big on the chef though - we know how evil consumables are, we don't need them to be more convenient.

I agree on the bot issue, which is why I said consecutive wins, though 10 may be too many, as it's nearly a statistical impossibility. Perhaps 4 consecutive wins, for one point, and an additional point for every consecutive win thereafter.
That's a 1 in 84 chance to get one point, a 1 in 243 chance to win the next, a 1 in 729 for the next, etc. People may try to bot it, but they'd be AFK for months trying to achieve a title. It would be more for those who are on the edge of achieving the next tier in the title to give them a few extra points without having to wait months for the next event. The gamer title is essentially impossible to max as it is now, people might like a small boost in it's advancement. They could also cap the gains made this way to 10 points per day (though statistically it's unlikely anyone would get that many in a day anyway).
I am editing the top post to reflect these changes at put some of the better ideas clearly at the top of the thread.
As for the consumables NPC, I think it's a great idea as long as title requirements are still intact. /signed on consumables.
